Narcity reached out to the Premier's office for comment but did not hear back by publication time. Cineplex owns 164 theatres across Canada, and Jacob said the company's locations in small towns across the country could come in handy. Jacob said that while no decisions have been made on using his theatres, he thought health officials were very interested in his offer. In a company report posted on Thursday, February 11, Jacob called Canada's vaccine rollout "inconsistent." "There can be no assurance that vaccines will be widely available or distributed as currently anticipated, which would delay a return to normalcy," Jacob wrote.
