Parts Of Ontario Are Literally Colder Than Antarctica Today

So cold, in fact, that the temperatures in Fort Severn, Ontario, today are frostier than the South Pole in Antarctica.

Temperatures in Ontario's most northern community of Fort Severn are -32 C on Tuesday, feeling closer to -45 C.
Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold alert for the area, warning that frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin.
In Antarctica, which is known as the coldest place on Earth, temperatures will hover at around -16 C on Tuesday in the South Pole region, according to Time And Date.
The weather in Fort Severn is hardly any warmer than parts of Nunavut, which are getting extreme -55 C wind chills today.
Temperatures arethis week. In Toronto, Wednesday will feel like -12 C and some snowfall is also expected.
