Amount of snow that's expected

According to the advisory, areas can expect to see five to ten centimetres of snow, with the heaviest amount falling throughout the morning.

However, the storm is expected to end by Wednesday afternoon.

Throughout the day, Environment Canada is warning anyone who is travelling to be prepared.

Not only are snow-covered roads a concern, but freezing rain could hit spots around Ottawa in the evening.

This could make roads a slippery nightmare overnight.
