Mayor John Tory revealed on Wednesday that he had reached out to Police Chief James Ramer about looseningduring the lockdown.

"The Parking Enforcement Unit will be commencing an enforcement approach to on-street parking where a high level of discretion will be applied," Toronto Police said to Narcity.

According to police, enforcement efforts will instead target offences that "create safety concerns."
