After two days of Adamson Barbecue defying lockdown orders and opening its doors, other businesses in Toronto and Peel are following suit.

Express Fitness in Scarborough is promoting a peaceful protest and workout at noon on Thursday.

"Friends, join us and support the reopening of gyms! Health is in our own hands," they wrote on Instagram.

And Express Fitness isn't alone — Noble Toyz in Peel Region will be joining them.

The toy store will open for in-person shopping on Saturday, which is prohibited during lockdown.

Adamson Barbecue has been visited by police and bylaw officers over the last two days.

Owner Adam Skelly has been charged for operating illegally on Monday and Tuesday.

Despite the City and police changing his locks early Thursday morning, Skelly vows to continue opening his doors and serving lunch indoors.
