Police Constable Scott Matthews just spilled some juicy tea about Toronto's highest speed ticketed in 2020.

Cst. Matthews tweeted that the recipient of the ticket was a 19-year-old class G2 driver in a Mercedes going double the speed limit on the Gardiner Expressway.

The driver has his license suspended and his car impounded for seven days, writes Cst. Matthews.

"For Stunt Driving, the driver faces upon conviction: between a $2000 and $10000 fine, up to 6 months in jail, up to a 2 year license suspension," he tweeted.

"Is it worth it?"

Earlier this week, another teen with a need for speed was caught going 183 km/h on the QEW, faster than Wonderland's Yukon Striker.

Over the summer, a 17-year-old near Kingston was caught speeding at almost 200 km/h — in his dad's car.

Here's to slower speeds in 2021.
