Vancouver police had their hands full over the weekend when the came across a "makeshift nightclub" in a downtown apartment. \nThe host was hit with $2,500 in fines for hosting the law-breaking event and for not wearing a mask, according to the news release. \nEditor's Choice: New Data Has Just Revealed That These 16 Canadian Cities Are 'Unaffordable'\n\n\n\n100 People\n\n\nAt the party\n\n\nApparently, officers got word of the party after a woman who was invited called to report it once she arrived and saw how huge it was. \nVancouver police said that the party was so big that there was even a doorman with a protective vest, a capacity counting device like in an actual bar and a whole bunch of money. \nThe host of this party is no stranger to throwing events during COVID-19. \nLocal law enforcement has received a number of complaints about parties at this specific apartment. \n"VPD investigators are now working with Crown counsel to obtain court-ordered conditions that will prohibit the apartment owner from hosting large parties," says the news release.
