Wednesday will be just the first day of what could end up being a lengthy trial.

The Democratic-controlled House of Representatives is expected to vote to impeach President Donald Trump, but that doesn't end things.

If the vote goes through, the trial is then sent to the Senate, where a 2/3 vote will be required to remove Trump from office.

If Trump is removed from office, the Senate can then move to vote on if he should be disqualified from running for President again, which he has hinted at in recent weeks.
