Recall reason: Federated Co-operatives Ltd. has recalled various brands of bagels, including Co-op, TGP, Super A and Bigway, that were sold in Alberta, B.C., Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Ontario, Saskatchewan and Yukon. Recall reason: Baloian Farms of Arizona Co., Inc. has issued a recall for whole fresh American cucumbers due to potential salmonella contamination. These cucumbers, sold under the Pamela and PamPak brands or packaged in boxes labelled "Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.," were distributed in Alberta and B.C., but could also have been sold elsewhere across Canada. Consumers should avoid any related cucumbers sold between October 12 and November 29, 2024. While no illnesses have been reported in Canada, salmonella can cause fever, nausea, diarrhea and more severe symptoms in vulnerable individuals.

Recall reason: Last month's SunFed cucumber recall has been expanded to include field and slicer cucumbers, also due to potential salmonella contamination. These products, which may have been sold loose or in bulk without a brand name, originate from Mexico and were distributed in Alberta, B.C., Manitoba, Ontario and Saskatchewan, with possible distribution elsewhere in Canada. No illnesses have been reported in Canada so far, but salmonella can cause symptoms like fever, abdominal cramps and diarrhea, with severe risks for vulnerable groups.
