The RCMP wants the public's help in identifying two people of interest in connection to a major fire in Nova Scotia two weeks ago.

Yarmouth County RCMP just released photos and one video in relation to a fire that happened in Middle West Pubnico on October 16 that saw a fish plant engulfed in flames.

Police, who have since called it arson, say they responded to a building fire that suffered some serious damage. No one was in there at the time of the blaze.

They have deemed the fire to be suspicious and this was furthered by video footage that captured two people of interest in the arson case.

This incident came as tension mounted between non-Indigenous commercial fishermen and Indigenous fishermen over fishing rights.

Now, police want help identifying the two people caught on camera and ask that you contact Yarmouth District RCMP at 902-742-9106 with any information.
