A Guy Was Arrested After He Was Found With A Bunch Of Cocaine On An RCMP Officer's Deck

Now, this is something you don't see every day. Nova Scotia RCMP arrested a man after he was found on an officer's deck with a bunch of cocaine on him. He tried to get away but he was caught and has since been charged with a couple of offences.

In Shelburne, a town located in southwestern Nova Scotia, an on-duty RCMP officer returned home and found a man intoxicated on his back deck.

The 31-year-old man was then arrested for public intoxication but he tried to escape custody.

He was arrested just a short time after that.

After he was searched during the arrest, police found 20 grams of crack cocaine and a large amount of money.

The drugs that were in the man's possession were packaged for individual sales.

He told police that he had no clue why he chose to sit on the back deck at the RCMP officer's home so there's no concern for the officer's safety.

The 31-year-old man who is from Shelburne has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, mischief over $5000 and two counts of resisting arrest.

He was also given a summary offence ticket by police because he was intoxicated in a public place.

After all of this happened, the man was taken to court and was ordered back into police custody according to the CBC.

The 31-year-old was in court once again on September 8.

An RCMP spokesperson told the CBC that police don't know what the man was intoxicated with it because he wasn't tested.

So it's not clear if he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

At the end of July, Nova Scotia RCMP broke up a street racing event with more than 300 cars.

All of them drove away once police arrived but they could be charged and face a fine of up to $2,422.50.
