You Can Fly In The Sky On A $20 Hot Air Balloon Ride At A Festival In Georgia Next Month
Seeing a hot air balloon fly above your house is something that excites people no matter what age you are. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it's an exciting sight that may have you wondering how the heck they even got up there. Next month, you'll be able to take a ride in one of these things yourself at the hot air balloon festival in Augusta and live out your childhood dream.
The Augusta Balloon Festival is slated to make its appearance on September 25 and 26 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the fairgrounds in Columbia County.
If you've dreamt of taking a ride up in a hot air balloon, you can check this activity off your bucket list. These tethered rides will take you 75-feet in the air as the star of this festival — and it's only $20 to take to the skies.

For those that would prefer to stay on the ground and admire from afar, there'll be numerous craft and retail vendors you can explore, as well as food vendors you can order from while you watch the balloons take flight.
A DJ will be spinning tunes all day long to set the mood for your fun day out.
Tickets are only $10 per adult if purchased in advance online or $20 at the door, and parking is only $5. Due to COVID-19 concerns, cash will not be accepted for tickets purchased at the door.
If you happen to have kids, they can get in for $7.50 with unlimited rides in the Kid Zone for $15.
Every night there's a show that starts after 8 p.m. or when the sun goes down. The balloons will soar and glow while music in the background and an hour-long laser show lights up the sky.

If you really want the VIP treatment, you can also purchase a $35 VIP ticket. You'll have access to an exclusive tent with patio seating, free refreshments, and private luxury climate-controlled bathrooms.
According to the event's Facebook page, social distancing guidelines will be in place for viewing circles, with limited capacity to keep this event smaller and safe.
