Instagram's Exclusive New Feature Now Lets Canadians Put Pronouns In Their Profiles

Here's the easy way to add your pronouns.

There's a brand new Instagram pronouns feature on the app that lets you add how you identify to your profile and it's available in Canada.

Instagram launched this new section of profiles on May 11 in Canada, the U.S., Australia and the U.K., but there are plans to make it available in even more places around the world.

To add pronouns to your Instagram profile, tap the person icon or your profile picture in the bottom right of the mobile app to go to your profile and then tap the "Edit Profile" button. Tap "Pronouns." Start typing what you use and select it from the results that show up.

The app has also added an option that lets you only show your pronouns to your followers, which you can turn on or off.

Instagram has introduced several new features in Canada over the last couple of years, including music in stories and having the number of likes on posts hidden.
