Two Passengers With A Dog Opened The Doors Of A Moving Plane & Got Out In NYC

The duo are in big trouble!
Managing Editor, Canada

This isn't something you see every day! Two passengers on a Delta flight made an unconventional exit from a moving plane on Monday morning, as they activated the emergency slide to get off.

At New York’s LaGuardia Airport, the duo opened a cabin door while the aircraft was taxiing to a runway, before proceeding to deplane with their dog.

According to The New York Times, the aircraft was heading for Atlanta when the two people decided to get off.

After changing seats multiple times, an eyewitness reports that the man ignored a flight attendant’s order to sit down for takeoff.

Then, the individual said he had post-traumatic stress disorder and shortly after made efforts to get off.

Per the report, the man and his female companion (as well as their large dog) had forced open a cabin door, activated the emergency slide and slid off the moving plane.

The pair, who are from Florida, are now facing charges of criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and criminal trespassing.

The dog has been taken to an animal shelter for now, but the pair have a ticket that will allow them to pick up the pup.

The rest of the passengers deplaned normally and were accommodated on different flights.
