The City Of Miami Has Some Bizarre County Beef Going On Right Now

The City of Miami is taking its home county to court to expand voting access to Hispanic areas of the city. 

In a legal brief filed by the city, Miami is suing both Miami-Dade County and the county election board for their refusal so far to add more early voting sites in Hispanic-majority neighborhoods.

The city has repeatedly asked the County to open the Hispanic Branch...The County has refused.


City Of Miami Legal Brief 

Miami is seeking to expand voting access and opportunity to these diverse areas. 

However, it remains to be seen if the county will budge and open up the sites. 

The most affected areas are Little Havana and Allapattah.
