After being forced to close due to stay-at-home orders, this famous South Florida hotel is back open. You can book a weekend escape at the Versace Mansion in Miami Beach for when you want to feel luxurious. It's genuinely one of the grandest spots along the beach.

Also known as Villa Casa Casuarina, it was built in 1930 by Alden Freeman and later bought by Gianni Versace in the '90s. The hotel contains several beautiful and timeless historical artifacts, from a bronze statue of the Kneeling Aphrodite to the pool, inspired by Versace's "Marine Vanitas."

The hotel may look like any other South Florida mansion on the outside, but when you walk through those doors, you'll be blown away by the sheer opulence of this historical place.

If you have the funds to splurge, you could stay in what was once Versace's bedroom, as elaborate as any bedroom you would find. You could also sleep in the Villa Suite, an extravagant room filled with Versace's personal collection

As magnificent as the lodging is, you can't talk about the over-the-top hotel without mentioning the turquoise pool. The Thousand Mosaic Pool is a 54-foot long waterway made up of more than one-million crushed tiles.

You can lounge by this tropical oasis this summer and sip on your favorite cocktail as refreshing water washes over you.

There's even a rooftop lounge for those who want to gaze up into the night sky and get lost in the stars.

There will be a few changes before your stay. As part of Miami-Dade County's "New Normal" plan, guests and employees must wear a mask while in the common areas. Also, social distancing measures will be in place.

If you're planning a trip to Miami Beach this summer, this mansion is a must, if only to awe at the phenomenal architecture this historic place holds.
