Mono Cliffs Provincial Park is a majestic natural area in Shelburne. The park is known for its beautiful hiking trails, one of which leads through a giant canyon.

The Spillway Trail is a 1.3-kilometre trek that takes you through a towering rock crevice. The adventure is even more magical when the area is blanketed in sparkling snow.

You can also explore the Cliff-Top Side Trail which winds past 30-metre cliffs and offers some incredible views.

Snowshoeing and skiing are permitted, but trails are not maintained in the winter so visitors are encouraged to use caution. You can check the park's snow report before heading out for information on conditions.

The park often gets busy during the summer and fall months, so winter and spring are the best times to visit. You'll want to book a daily vehicle permit in advance.

If you're looking for some winter fun, this stunning park is worth a road trip.
