Honda & Lexus Dominated Canada's Top 10 Stolen Cars List For 2020

For 2020, the most stolen cars in Canada list is now out and it's dominated by Honda and Lexus.
The Insurance Bureau of Canada has released its annual ranking of the top 10 stolen vehicles in the country with five different brands making it this year.
Every year, these kinds of thefts cost Canadians close to $1 billion including $542 million for insurers to replace or fix stolen cars.

2018 Honda CR-V 4DR AWD

The honour — or dishonour — of being the most stolen car in Canada goes to the 2018 Honda CR-V 4DR AWD.
The 2017 Lexus RX350/RX450h 4DR AWD is second, the 2017 Honda CR-V 4DR AWD is third, the 2018 Lexus RX350/RX350L/RX450h/RX450hL 4DR AWD is fourth and the 2018 Ford F150 4WD is fifth.
Following those are the 2019 Honda CR-V 4DR AWD, 2018 Toyota Highlander 4DR 4WD, 2017 Toyota Highlander 4DR 4WD, 2019 Lexus RX350/RX350L/RX450h/RX450hL 4DR AWD and the 2017 Dodge/Ram Ram 1500 4WD.
According to the Insurance Bureau of Canada, cars might be stolen to be sold abroad, to be sold to unsuspecting consumers, for joyriding or to commit a crime.
Last year, Ford dominated the list with eight vehicles in the top 10 but only has one on the list for 2020.
Most of the stolen cars in 2019 were older models from the early 2000s and even the '90s which is so different from this year where all of the models are from 2017 or later.
