There's never been a shortage of things to see in Alberta's beautiful national parks.

Tucked away in Jasper National Park is Mount Edith Cavell where you'll find a stunning pond and a giant glacier.

If you want to see it, you're going to need to drive a bit and walk a bit, too. "To get to the trailheads, go 7 km south of Jasper on Highway 93 and turn right onto Highway 93A. Travel 5.4 km and turn right onto the Cavell Road," says the national park's guide

Once you arrive at the trailhead, you can walk the Path of the Glacier Trail which is only a 1.6-kilometre hike.

This little hike will take you to an enchanting viewpoint so you can see it all for yourself.

It's very important to stay on the trail and never approach the glacier as icebergs tend to fall off and crash down below.

There's another, longer hike if you're feeling ambitious which is called Cavell Meadows Trail.

That hike is about six to seven kilometres.
