Nestle Canada Is Recalling Non-Dairy Ice Cream Cones For Possibly Having Dairy In Them

The cones have been sold in five provinces.

There has been a Nestle ice cream recall issued for two kinds of non-dairy cones because they might have dairy in them.

Both the Drumstick Caramel Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Cones and the Drumstick Vanilla Chocolate Swirl Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Cones are affected by this recall.

This is happening because the non-dairy cones might have small traces of whey protein, a protein found in dairy products, and there's been one consumer complaint so far about a batch of the Vanilla Chocolate Swirl.

According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the recalled products have been sold in Alberta, B.C., Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec, but they might have been sold in other parts of the country as well.

If you have the products, the CFIA says to throw them out or return them and not to eat them if you have a dairy allergy.
