The Cliffside Coaster, the longest mountain rollercoaster in North America, recently opened in New York's Lake Placid and the views (and the curves) will take your breath away.

Winding through Mt. Van Hoevenberg, the new track makes use of the bobsled track repurposed from the Lake Placid Olympic Games in 1980, stretching a whopping 1.4 miles through dense forest and sloping hills — and it looks epic.

The ride emulates an Olympic bobsled experience and runs alongside actual bobsled tracks used in the 1980 Winter Games.

As you zig and zag to the top, you'll learn all about the 1980 winter Olympics and the history of bobsledding as you take in the incredible views of the Adirondack Mountains.

Once you've climbed all the way to the rollercoaster's peak, you have complete control for the rest of the ride so you can navigate the track's twists and turns at your own pace.

The ride is COVID-friendly, so it's important to note that while you'll be outside in the fresh air, you still need to wear a mask when boarding and unboarding the coaster.

The Cliffside Coaster is open to the public Friday to Sunday only from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. You'll find tickets available online, and you'll want to grab them fast — with views like this, it's no wonder the ride has already seen sold-out weekends!
