Alberta reported 114 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, September 2. 

While Edmonton previously led the province, Calgary's COVID-19 cases have pulled in front, nearly doubling where they were at just last week.

Meanwhile, YYC only had 363 cases just last Wednesday according to the Calgary Herald.  

The province currently has 1,403 active COVID-19 infections, with 538 in the Edmonton Zone, says the provincial data.  

The province outlines several current outbreaks in and around the city of Calgary.
