Victoria Police broke up a huge B.C. house party on Friday, August 21 that had 40-60 people in attendance. As a result, the issued a $2300 fine to the host.

The following night, police returned to the same apartment to find 15 people in a 1-bedroom suite, said a press release

The group was compliant, except for one guest who refused to cooperate and leave.


Victoria Police 

Officers gave the man a $230 ticket for “obstructing a peace officer” and he was released at the scene.

The fine included a $30 victim surcharge levy along with the $200 fine.

This past weekend was the first weekend that the fines were in place.
