A Brampton Elementary School Teacher Has Tested Positive For COVID-19
The school will remain open.
A GTA school is remaining open after a Brampton teacher with COVID-19 tested positive.
Staff at Ross Drive Public School were informed of the incident via a letter from the school principal Greg Harris, 680 News reports.
The building will remain open and no further action has been suggested by Peel Public Health at this point.
The Peel District School Board has said that there is no risk to the school because the teacher was there before they were contagious, and followed physical distancing rules.
“While Peel Public Health cannot comment on specific cases, they confirmed that they are investigating and will determine the places the person went while infectious (e.g., to work or public places) and who their close contacts were,” it says in the letter.
The school went through two deep cleanings after the fact, one on August 27 and another on September 2.
