Ontario Just Raised Capacity Limits At Gyms, Yoga Studios & Indoor Sports
You'll still have to stay apart though.
Toronto's gyms are about to get a bit busier. Doug Ford has just announced that starting on Saturday, 50 people will now be allowed in one room at a time when working out.
Toronto's gym reopening rules will allow a max of 50 people in both indoor sport and fitness rooms, as long as physical distancing measures can be met.
I continue to urge everyone to follow the strict public health protocols to ensure everyone can have a safe workout.
The new limit will apply to gymnasiums, health clubs, community centres, yoga, dance studios and more.
"Many of our gyms and fitness centres are owned and operated by small business owners and they are struggling. To help them get back on their feet and hire back staff, we are making these changes so they can serve more people," Ford stated.
Residents who visit these buildings are required to keep six feet apart when possible and wear face masks if mandatory in the municipality.
These changes will take place on August 14 at 12:01 a.m.
