The Governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, signed an order Monday night that allows restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and convenience stores to deliver alcohol straight to customers' doors.

According to the AJC, it could be a few weeks, or even months before spots start taking advantage of the new order because the Department of Revenue has to create regulations for participating businesses to comply with, but it gives you something to look forward to!

The deliveries of beer, wine, and liquor have to be ordered and accepted by those that are 21 and over in person with a valid ID.

Atlanta restaurants can still sell unopened alcohol, which was an order created by Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms during the pandemic.

These orders serve to keep small businesses in Georgia and the City of Atlanta afloat while the pandemic continues to affect everyday life.
