These Ontario provincial parks have stunning sunsets and they're even prettier in the winter

You can take in the views from frosty beaches.

If you love catching sunsets, you might want to plan a trip to one of these Ontario provincial parks. These destinations have gorgeous beaches with sunset views, and they're even prettier during the winter.

According to the Ontario Parks Blog, winter is the best time of year for sunset enthusiasts because the "dry, clean air means that colours are most vivid in this season."

The blog highlights several beaches that offer spectacular sunset views. These include Pinery Provincial Park, MacGregor Point Provincial Park, Silent Lake Provincial Park, Presqu'ile Provincial Park, and Darlington Provincial Park.

Pinery Provincial Park boasts 21 square kilometres of lush forests and rolling dunes. You can see Lake Huron transform into shades of pink and orange as the sun dips below the horizon line.

MacGregor Point Provincial Park is a winter wonderland with gorgeous sunset views at Sunset Point, Camper's Beach, and Day Use Beach.

It's also home to a glistening ice trail that winds through the snow-capped trees

Many parks offer winter activities like hiking and skiing, so you can turn your visit into a full-day adventure.

Ontario Parks encourages visitors to bundle up for a winter sunset adventure—and for an extra cozy touch, bring along some hot chocolate to enjoy the view.
