Ontario is full of beautiful vacation destinations, and this spot is loved by locals. With stunning sunsets, beach towns and attractions, it's a magical place for a staycation.

In a post on Narcity Canada's Facebook page, we asked readers for the best and most affordable staycations in Ontario. This lakeside spot was one of the many destinations mentioned by locals.

Huron County, also known as Ontario's West Coast, is a hidden gem with scenic coastal views, charming towns and beachside retreats.

One commenter praised it for its "beautiful beaches and stunning sunsets."

According to the county's website, it's an "undiscovered oasis" with "pristine sandy beaches, winding hiking trails," and more.

The area is home to several quaint small towns and villages, including Goderich and Bayfield.

Goderich, known as "Canada's prettiest village," offers cute shops and three beautiful beaches. You can stroll along the old-world streets and enjoy treats from the cafe or a meal on a sun-filled patio.

Bayfield is like stepping into a Hallmark film with its charming boutiques and eateries. It's a magical spot to visit year-round and boasts stunning lake views and storybook vibes.

Blyth is another picturesque small town to visit. It's home to unique festivals, scenic hikes and delicious restaurants.

The winter transforms Huron County into a snowglobe with frosty trails, stargazing and more.
