Perth is a historic small town located an hour away from Ottawa.

The town was named after Perth, Scotland and you can see the Scottish influence reflected in many of the stone buildings that line the streets.

You'll want to spend some time exploring the quaint downtown. There are lots of shops to check out, including the Gore St. Antique Market, Perth Chocolate Works and The Perth Cheese Shop.

You can find all sorts of seasonal fall decor at the local boutiques and seasonal specials at the restaurants.

The town has several attractions to explore, including the Perth Museum which will transport you back in time to the 1840s. You'll also want to snap some Insta-worthy fall photos at the band shell behind Town Hall, in Stewart Park, at the Big Red Chair, by the Mammoth Cheese, and at the whimsical Dry-Stone Bridge.

For more fall adventures, head to Miller's Bay Farm where you can find all sorts of harvest produce.

Of course, you won't want to miss out on the fall colours, and Perth Tourism suggests enjoying them from the bridge in Stewart Park or along the Tow Path to Last Duel Park.
