Disney's New Face Mask Policy Bans Walking While Eating

Sit down and stay distanced!
Contributor

Disney World Orlando just reopened its doors to the public last week, and already, new changes are developing to keep guests and staff safe, like a new mask order that won’t allow guests to walk around the park while eating and drinking.

The newly updated safety guidelines state that guests can remove their masks while enjoying their favorite Disney eats and drinks but should stay in one spot and not wander the parks with their masks down.

You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you should be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing.

The guidelines go on to explain the proper kind of masks that are required of guests, instructing that all masks must have at least two layers of breathable material, fully cover the mouth and nose, and be secured by ear loops.

If you’re hoping to get away with a neck gaiter or triangle bandana, the guidelines state those will not pass as acceptable face coverings.

Be sure to grab your ticket for your day at Disney in advance, and come prepared with proper coverings so you don’t have to miss out on any of the fun!
