On Monday, Justin Trudeau joined world leaders for the virtual One Planet Summit, a one-day event to inspire stronger action on climate change and biodiversity.

Although Canada’s PM promised $55 million to an initiative aimed at preventing degradation of land and protecting vital ecosystems, it seems teen climate activist Greta Thunberg is not impressed with the world leaders’ promises.

"When sea levels rise, when droughts become the norm and not the exception, this has catastrophic effects on national habitats," Trudeau told the virtual summit.

"As an international community, we have a responsibility to act," he added.

However, it seems his words were not enough for the Swedish activist, who has called out Canada’s PM personally in the past.

Taking to Twitter on the day of the summit, 18-year-old Thunberg said all of the officials involved were “locking in decades of further destruction.”

She took aim at many of the world leaders’ promises, describing them as “bla bla.”

Alongside Justin Trudeau at the virtual event were leaders like U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, among others.
