Police are appealing to the public for help to locate a missing 12-year-old boy in Ottawa. Officials say the child's family is concerned for his safety.

Alejandro Moral was last seen on Tuesday, August 25, at 9:30 p.m. in the Sandy Hill area of Ottawa.

The youth is described as a Hispanic male, who is approximately 5’1”. He has a slim build, chin-length brown hair and dark eyes.

He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with dotted grey pants and beige-coloured Vans shoes.

According to police, Alejandro Moral often spends time at Lansdowne Park, Sandy Community Park and Strathcona Park.

He is also often seen at Wiggins Private basketball court.

Any person with information about Alejandro’s whereabouts is asked to contact Ottawa Police immediately.
