To celebrate Mother's Day this year, the prime minister took to social media to share some intimate and adorable pictures of his family.

One photo shows a very young Justin Trudeau smiling with his mom, while another shows Sophie Grégoire Trudeau laughing with their three children.

The Liberal leader looks almost unrecognizable in one photo in particular, where he's wearing a white tank top and baggy jeans. It's pretty different from his smart prime minister suits!

Sharing the images, he wrote, "I'm thinking of two moms in particular today - my own, who has taught me so much and shown me what it means to be strong, and Sophie, who inspires me every day and fills our family with unconditional love."

Sophie Gregoire Trudeau also paid tribute to her mom on Mother's Day, writing, "To my mom Estelle, you are my guiding star."
