Alan Ritchson, who stars in the Amazon Prime Video series Reacher, says he got into character when he saw a robbery happening in Montreal.

In an interview with Etalk, Alan admits he couldn't help but get involved when he saw what was happening while he was on a date with his wife, Catherine Ritchson.

In an interview clip shared on Etalk's Instagram page, Alan is seemingly asked about how he handles "dangerous situations."

That's when he explains he turns into a "different dude."

"We were on a date in Montreal walking to a very nice dinner all dressed up and we saw somebody breaking into a car," Alan explained.

The actor says his wife realized what was happening before he did.

"[He] was just hanging out with glass everywhere, rooting through somebody's stuff and came out with all these bags."

Once Alan understood what was going on, he says his wife told him not to get involved but he couldn't help but get into "instant Reacher mode."

"I was like some justice has to be done here and I chased that dude for four blocks until I tossed him into a building and the cops came," he continued.

"She [Catherine] was very mad at me for not just like taking her on our date. We got there eventually."

Alan stars as Jack Reacher in the crime drama as a retired military officer who helps police solve crimes and also takes justice into his own hands.

Based on how his character handles certain situations in the show, it's a good thing Alan didn't go "full Reacher" in Montreal!

Seasons 1-2 of Reacher, which was filmed around Ontario, are now available on Amazon Prime Video.
