A Retired Canadian Teacher Wants To Give His Old Students Their 'Top Secret' Diaries Back

A retired teacher in Canada is searching far and wide so he can give his former students their diaries back, decades later.
Hugh Brittain from Saint John, New Brunswick, is reportedly searching all over Canada to track down his students, who are no doubt full-fledged adults by now.

The now 78-year old would have his students write diaries in the late '70s and '80s as a fun activity to get their creative juices flowing and a way to vent. One diary even had the words "top secret" sprawled on the cover.
"They would seal them up and I gave them free rein to write whatever they wanted to — what was bothering them, or what was important in their lives at that time," Brittain told the news outlet.
Brittain was able to give back a few journals at a school reunion a few years ago, however, he still has over two dozen more to return. Now, he's on a mission to do so.
