Happy Pride month! The new Roots Pride collection is supporting a good cause this year, the Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention. All of the new items cost less than $35, which means you can donate towards a good cause while adding some bright colours to your wardrobe.

To celebrate Pride 2020, Roots has released a brand new collection, and it's full of bright colours and positive messages.

A portion of the money made from sales of the items will be donated to the Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention (Black CAP), in honour of Pride month.

It is Canada's largest Black specific AIDS service organization.

Since 1989, Black CAP has been working to respond to the threat of HIV and AIDS in Toronto's Black, African and Caribbean communities.

On Instagram, Roots posted about their new range and the good cause that it's supporting.

"We believe in celebrating each other and are learning and listening to our community about how we can continue to do more to support the BIPOC community," the Canadian company said.

The brand also committed to "keep doing the work that needs to be done."

There are 14 items in this year's collection for adults, children and even toddlers.

You can get a t-shirt for $30, that features the iconic Roots logo with two Canadian flags in Pride colours.

There's another shirt that features the slogan "be nice" with a colourful peace sign printed on it.

The collection also has "love is love" shirts for $34.

Roots isn't the only retailer supporting Pride with new items.

Reebok Canada is selling Pride-themed running shoes and all of the sneakers feature some sort of rainbow design.

Starbucks also launched a new reusable cup collection to celebrate the month.

If you're looking to support BIPOC organizations and businesses there are so many ways to do so.

There's a directory of over 1,500 black-owned businesses in Canada and an interactive map to find Indigenous tourism events and experiences across the country.

You can shop all the new Roots items online or even in-store if locations have reopened near you.
