Located just an hour outside of Toronto, this little community is a cute spot for a day trip or afternoon outing.

Glen Williams is a quaint riverside community nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Halton Hills. According to Visit Halton Hills, it's a "hidden gem" and "perfect day trip destination."

Here, you'll find "a scenic artist community of art studios, cafes and restaurants, trails, local shops and heritage homes."

You can enjoy some delicious treats at Kit's Little Kitchen, which offers a range of sweet and savoury bites. The Copper Kettle is another local favourite and features pub-style meals and a scenic patio. Or, treat yourself to a fine dining experience at Glen Tavern.

Aside from dining, Glen Williams offers a few quaint shops and scenic trails.

You can take a stroll along the Credit Valley Footpath, a 16.5-kilometre walk that runs alongside the Credit River and is accessible from Glen Williams.
