Moving during a global pandemic can't be easy, but leave it to Canadians to get it done.

That's because U-Haul, a moving equipment company, just revealed the top cities in Canada that people packed up and moved to in 2020.

The Northeastern Ontario market of North Bay welcomed the largest net gain of one-way U-Haul trucks of any city in Canada over the past calendar year. U-Haul

According to U-Haul the city that took the number one spot for growth was North Bay.

In a news release, the company said that the Ontario city saw the biggest net gain of one-way U-Haul trucks compared to all places in Canada, meaning that Canadians were hitting the road up north.

North Vancouver, Kingston, Belleville, and the Barrie/Orillia corridor were among the other top five cities. 

Ontario had 10 cities within the top 15, Quebec had six cities in the top 25 and British Columbia had five.

Additionally, provinces like British Columbia and New Brunswick have been crowned the "leading growth provinces for do-it-yourself movers", according to the company data on migration patterns from last year.
