People far and wide will visit this city every year, which can become overwhelming if you're on a quick weekend trip and wanting to avoid the crowds. What some might be surprised about is that there are some unusual things to do in and near Nashville that people may have never known existed.

These six spots might not be filled with hundreds of people, which could make your time more enjoyable if you prefer things to be a little more low-key.

The lime green and black walls are an absolute off-the-wall bathroom mood, and they've been offering shoe-shinings here since 1910. Explore One of America's Oldest Tunnels at Harpeth River State Park
