We all know and adore the great Niagara Falls, but if you’ve been there and done that, then these lesser-known falls are just what you need to start your summer off with a splash. 

Ontario is home to some truly impressive cascading waters, but it’s not always easy to drive five to 10 hours just to discover these natural wonders.

Which is why we’ve rounded up five waterfalls that are all less than three and a half hours from the 6ix for an ideal day trip with your bestie.

Jones Falls

Why You Need To Go: Hidden within Pottawatomi Conservation Area, this is one section of the Niagara Escarpment that you won't want to miss. Who needs a tropical vaycay when you can visit waterfalls like this one right here in Ontario?

Why You Need To Go: This gorgeous waterfall flows through old mill ruins and it's sure to take your breath away. Just remember to make a reservation before showing up and stick to the designated trails. 

Billy Monkley Cascade

Why You Need To Go: This little gem looks like a natural staircase and the sounds of rushing water here are so calming.

Elora Gorge Falls

Why You Need To Go: Located just behind the gorgeous Elora Mill you'll find this rushing waterfall. Talk about a small-town gem.
