So many celebs are in town!

Guillermo del Toro, director of The Shape of Water, has always been a big fan of Toronto and now he's filming his next movie here with Bradley Cooper and a huge cast that's so far been flying under the city's celebrity radar.*

On Sunday Mark Povinelli, a TV actor who's been in Criminal Minds, Family Guy, and Boardwalk Empire, posted a group selfie on Instagram taken by Ron Perlman that showed them finishing up a dinner with Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, David Strathairn in one of the city's patio tents.

The film also stars Cate Blanchett and Bradley Cooper, though they must have had their own A-list tent.

The film is called Nightmare Alley, based on a crime novel of the 1940s. It's a remake of a classic noir film starring Tyrone Power.

The AGO put up an exhibit with Del Toro in 2017, and he also filmed parts of The Shape of Water in Toronto, which won the 2018 Oscar for best picture.

Filming started filming earlier this year, but was obviously delayed because of COVID-19.

According to the city's Current Production site, they've been shooting since September and we've got until December 2 to catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Oscar-winning director's next blockbuster.
