Mayor John Tory wants you to know that applications are now being accepted for a huge range of jobs in Toronto's Parks, Forestry & Recreation division.

City-run recreation programs have over 9,000 employees, including lifeguards, summer camp counsellors, and many others.

"Recreation jobs in the summer are good jobs for young people in our city," said the mayor on Friday.

"I know that a lot of young people have had difficulties this past year themselves being able to find some of the part-time work that they sometimes rely on."

Some of the jobs that you can apply for are Summer Camp Education Assistant, Waterfront Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, Special Needs Camp Program Staff, and more.

Some of these jobs are pretty high-paying, too. Part-time Lifeguards make $17.62 an hour and Aqua Fitness Instructors make $27.04 an hour. All of the recreation jobs can be found on the City's jobs page.

Plus, applications for Gardeners and Parks Handyworkers for the City’s parks and green spaces are being accepted until March 27.

Parks Handyworkers can earn over $28 an hour, according to the job posting

This isn't the only hiring spree happening in Toronto right now. Pinterest is also looking to fill over 50 jobs in the city, and Google has over 60 positions up for grabs.

Parks Canada is hiring for these jobs in Ontario and you can make almost $90,000

The positions are at a national park and a marine conservation area. 🌳🌊
