A London Org Is On A Mission To Convince You To Ditch Toronto & It Makes Some Good Points

'Don’t worry, we won’t tell Toronto if you don’t.'

An organization in London, Ontario, has a simple message for Torontonians: if you want to leave the big city, we won't tell anyone.

It's part of a new advertising campaign that pokes fun of Toronto's cost of living and population density and hypes up London's real estate, parks and jobs.

Editor's Choice: Here's How Much You Need To Make To Afford Living In Ontario's Cheapest Regions

We love Toronto, too [...] but let’s face it, it’s tough out there. Don't Tell Toronto

The website "DontTellToronto.ca" is made by the London Economic Development Corporation, and it takes a tongue-in-cheek approach to convincing people to leave Toronto and settle down elsewhere.

"[It's] tough to find affordable living, tough to find a bit of green space, tough to find parking when you need it," the website says.

"We know it stinks because there’s a pandemic and there is no.where.to.go. That’s why we wanted to put a bug in your ear about London."

The website has lots of nice things to say about jobs, parks, and trails in the London area, and other people seem to agree with them.

A recent report from Zoocasa said that people are fleeing Toronto to settle down in other parts of the province.

And another Zoocasa report named London as one of the 18 most affordable regions in the whole of Canada.

The average home price there is just over $600,000, according to the report.
