A sentencing hearing on Tuesday, July 21 set Marcella Zoia's chair-throwing sentence and it's a lot more lenient than it could have been.

Although the prosecution was pushing for a jail sentence of between four and six months, Zoia has avoided a prison term. She will instead serve probation and community service, as well as paying a fine.

Her sentencing decided that her probationary period will last for two years and she must work 150 hours of community service as a result of the February 2019 incident.

There had been talk of a social media ban for Zoia, who has over 54,000 followers on Instagram.

However, that did not materialize, according to CP24's Kris Pangilinan.
