In a series of stunning new renderings, Torontonians got their first look at the Allied Music Centre, the new seven-floor development on top of what was Massey Hall.
Partnered with Allied Properties, Massey Hall will still exist once the development is finished, but it will be joined by new stages, studios, and bars within the centre.
The photos show each new addition in detail, from a re-designed seating plan in Massey Hall to the new basement lounge and bar.

The new Massey Hall seating plan means that shows can either be all-seated or include a standing section.

The centre will include a new 500-person venue which looks out at the city skyline.
Plus there's another smaller stage for developing artists, student recitals, and panel discussions.
The basement of the complex will include yet another stage, along with a bar as well.
But if one bar isn't enough, there's another lounge on the sixth floor — open to artists, their teams, and community art organizations during the day.
Each stage and venue in the complex can be recorded and mixed through a studio inside the centre.
And to top it off (literally, it's on the seventh floor) is a music recording studio.
