Netflix’s 'The Queen’s Gambit' Was Actually Filmed In Toronto (PHOTOS)

Over the past few weeks, Netflix's The Queen's Gambit has been taking viewers by storm.

According to IMDb, while most of it was filmed in Germany, some of it was actually filmed in Toronto.

Cast and crew took over Front Street, St. Lawrence Market and residential areas on Yonge Street, Props Master Rachel Heacock told Narcity.

The project filmed in Ontario in August 2019, and Toronto wasn't the only city they stopped in.

Cambridge, Ontario is also listed as a filming location. 

The series follows prodigious young chess player Beth Harmon as she rises to fame for her chess brilliance in the 1960s.
