Put down your controllers and put on your helmet, because a real-life Mario Kart track is opening soon in Ontario. You can leave the television behind and experience racetrack thrills for yourself as you zoom over a winding road that's reminiscent of your favourite Nintendo games. The Niagara Speedway's opening date is this month, so get ready for some wild rides.

With attractions starting to open across the province, it looks like summer 2020 isn't completely cancelled.

One of Niagara's most thrilling experiences just announced that it is reopening for the summer, and the date is coming soon.

The Niagara Speedway, Canada's first elevated go-kart racetrack, will be officially back in business on June 26.

The attraction was slated to open in March but was delayed due to Ontario's state of emergency restrictions.

The course takes you through multi-levelled spirals and tiered ramps that will make you feel like you're Princess Peach.

The tallest section of the track stands at 40 feet tall, and the karts can reach speeds up to 32 kilometres per hour.

The Speedway has implemented new safety procedures for staff and visitors.

Staff will wear protective gear including masks, gloves, and face shields.

After each use, the helmets will be put through a sanitizing machine, and all go-karts will be wiped down as well.

There will be social distancing markings and reduced karts on the course. No more than one driver and one passenger is permitted per kart.

No food or drink is permitted on-site, and hand sanitizer will be available for visitors.

Tickets are available for purchase in-person and cost $12 per driver per four-minute race and $4 per passenger.

Niagara also reopened its massive Zipline To The Falls, and you can hop on for a towering ride and stunning views.

Leave the television behind and zoom along Canada's first elevated go-kart track instead.
