According to The Weather Network, incoming freezing temperatures and precipitation will bring 5 to 15 centimetres of snow to areas close to Armstrong and Lake Nipigon on Monday.

Local drivers are being warned as the arrival of wintry conditions could reduce visibility.

"Motorists should be prepared for winter driving conditions," Environment Canada warns. "Untreated roads may become slush or snow covered and slippery, especially Monday night when temperatures will drop to freezing or a bit below."

TWN reports that typical spring weather isn't expected to arrive until the second half of May.
