Ford Feels ‘Sorry’ For People Who Live In Downtown Toronto & Tells Them To Go For A Drive
Ontario's Premier is showing sympathy for those that are currently living in downtown Toronto. In a press conference on Monday, Premier Doug Ford stated he felt "sorry" for anyone that was stuck in the 6ix during the province's lockdown.
When asked about overcrowding on the city's beaches, Ford mentioned that he noticed large groups of people flocked to Toronto's Centre Island over the weekend.

There are so many people living in condos in downtown Toronto, I feel sorry for them, they want to get out.

"You start going squirrely in a house or a condo or a townhome and you just want to get outside and there is only so much space here and so many beaches in Toronto," Ford stated.
Now, the premier is encouraging residents to go for a drive to get some fresh air.
"Let's try to spread out a little bit. Go to an Ontario park, take a drive," he continues.
Yet, he also warns that social distancing should always be practiced during these times.
