Today's Raptors Game Set To Be Cancelled As Teams Boycott The Playoffs (VIDEO)

The NBA will have an emergency meeting about the future of the playoffs today.

The NBA season has once again been left in limbo. A widespread boycott forced the NBA to cancel multiple games on Wednesday. As of right now, Raptors news on the playoffs is still uncertain but it is likely that games will not be played on Thursday.

The NBA announced on Wednesday that it would be postponing all of its playoff games for that day.

The decision came as players and coaches met inside the bubble to discuss an action plan on how to respond to the police shooting of Jacob Blake.

Several players, including some from Toronto, have floated the possibility of abandoning the season in an act of protest against anti-Black racism.

According to The Athletic, both the Lakers and the Clippers have voted to stop the NBA season.

The Milwaukee Bucks made the early decision to not play in their set game on Wednesday.

Now, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that it "appears unlikely the three playoff games on Thursday will be played."

CBS Sports also reports that the rest of the season being cancelled is "certainly a possibility, if not a growing likelihood."

An emergency meeting will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday to discuss these issues.

“I have heard a couple of our guys say that they’re thinking about going home,” Raptors' coach Nick Nurse said according to The Athletic.

Toronto players have been equally as vocal on how they feel about the rapidly unfolding situation.

An emotional Fred VanVleet refused to take any basketball-related questions during a press conference on Tuesday and openly discussed the possibility of a boycott.

While Powell has also stated that, "I'm pretty tired and sick to my stomach to have to sit up here and talk about this again."
